When you think of the swimming pool industry, you likely consider it a seasonal business. At Pinch A Penny, we strive to provide our franchisees and their customers with valuable service all year round. With our backyard services, our stores have multiple streams of revenue to keep them busy all year round!
Is Pinch A Penny a retail store?
Pinch A Penny stores, at their core, are brick-and-mortar retail locations. Our stores specialize in providing pool and spa needs from our own personal chemical line, Suncoast Chemicals, to maintenance items, equipment, parts, and more. Our stores also provide a free 7-point water test for your pool and spa water that helps you keep your water properly balanced and sanitary.
Does Pinch A Penny offer pool cleaning and maintenance?
Along with providing in-store services, such as retail sales, water testing, and APC repairs, our Pinch A Penny stores also provide pool service and maintenance services. These services help homeowners to maintain a clean and balanced pool with much less work than homeowners who maintain their pools themselves. Along with weekly water balancing, pool service may also include brushing, vacuuming, filter cleaning, and other routine services.
What revenue streams does Pinch A Penny provide for backyard services?
One of the many benefits of franchising with Pinch A Penny is that our franchisees can offer an array of backyard services that keep them busy all year long. In addition to the retail sales, pool service and maintenance, and installations and repairs, our franchisees offer services that allow them to service customers even if they don’t have a pool! Many locations now offer:
- Pool renovations
- Leak detection and repair
- Pressure washing
- Home landscape lighting and design
- Outdoor living design
- Screen repair and rescreening services
What training does a Pinch A Penny franchisee receive to repair and install pool equipment?
As part of Pinch A Penny’s exceptional hands-on franchise training program, our franchisees earn a certified pool operator license, a world-recognized certification, and an advanced pool and spa service certificate, enabling them to get a contractor’s license in one year rather than the usual four years. There are three pools on the Pinch A Penny campus in Clearwater. Pool School classes test the water, fix what’s broken, learn the proper way to clean a pool, and more as they work their way through an extensive curriculum. Pool School instructors also teach the mechanics of swimming pools and spas. You’ll learn how to install and repair pool pumps, heaters and more equipment.
Becoming a Pinch A Penny franchisee gives you the freedom to be your own boss while providing year-round opportunities to earn income. If you’re ready to make the switch from the corporate grind to business ownership, we have opportunities available throughout the southeast and Texas.
