Pinch A Penny Pool, Patio, and Spa Franchise App Makes a Splash at the Franchise Innovation Awards

July 16, 2019

At the recently held Inaugural Franchise Innovation Awards, Pinch A Penny, America’s largest Pool Maintenance Franchise company, took home first place in the ‘Most Innovative Use of Consumer-Facing Digital Tools’ category.

Pinch A Penny’s mobile app was one of nearly 100 entries reviewed by a panel of nine judges. Winners were selected based on an entry’s objective and ability to achieve solutions or improvements through innovation.

The honor was given for Pinch A Penny’s new user-friendly mobile app, which launched earlier this year. The app was designed with goals to ease pool care for customers and streamline communications with store owners and staff.

The innovative digital tool features services that include water testing and analysis, scheduled maintenance reminders, and the option to text, call or email a store for immediate assistance.

And in an era where technology and transparency are increasingly important for any Franchise Business, the Pinch A Penny mobile app has proven to be a powerful player in both arenas.

The app’s ability to bring an enhanced overall customer experience has, not surprisingly, led to an uptick in sales and revenue among Franchise Owners. Since its debut, there continues to be an increase in average retail transactions and in general in-store engagement.

The Franchise Innovation Awards were introduced this year by Franchise Media Update, with a goal to "identify and recognize the franchise brands that are creating and implementing the most original and successful innovation strategies and tactics in the U.S.”
