Pinch A Penny Opens its First Arizona Store in Gilbert

Florida-based pool supply company Pinch A Penny has made its first expansion move into Arizona with a new location opening in Gilbert.

The store is located at The Shops at Chandler Heights Village at the corner of East Chandler Heights and South Higley roads. It is overseen by father-son owner-operators Bill and Jesse Hafdal, who have lived in Gilbert for nearly a decade.

The 1,992-square-foot store opened its doors on Feb. 21, but held its official ribbon cutting on March 11.

Pinch A Penny offers custom pool service plans, free water testing, equipment installation and repair, as well as products including specialty chemicals, automatic pool cleaners, pumps, heaters, chillers and more.

The chain has been in business for 50 years and has grown to nearly 300 locations, mostly in the Southeastern U.S. The company is now looking to expand into the West.

“With Phoenix having the highest percentage of pools per home in the country, we knew this was the place to start,” Jim Eisch, President and CEO of Pinch A Penny, said in a statement. “We could not be more excited to add the Hafdal family, Bill, Jesse and his brothers, Jordan and Brady, to our family to bring exceptional products and services to the Gilbert community.”
